It has two antennae in which its sense organs (smell, hearing, touch) are concentrated, 5 eyes, a mouth apparatus composed of two parts (the ligula, longer, and the galea, used for feeding), 3 pairs of jointed and hairy legs, 4 wings and a stinger (missing in males).
